What is Orz

This question have been wandering around my mind for almost 1 year. I saw many of my ex Taiwan colleagues like to use this “Orz” in their daily conversation in instant messenger. And I even saw some T-shirt printed “Orz”. What is Orz actually? Is it a new word, symbol or acronym?

I tried to ask my friends and the way they answer me is like this.

Me: “What is Orz actually?”

Friend: “Orz is Orz la.”

Me: “What do you mean by Orz is Orz.”

Friend: “Orz is nothing but Orz la, cannot explain dude.”

Me: …… <give up asking>

And one day, I saw a picture from my msn friend avatar. And i shouted, “OH…. I SEE”, I finally got it, I finally know what it’s means.
